About cookies

This cookie policy explains how Joined uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage, and how you can control them. It is part of our privacy policy.

Effective date: November 4, 2026.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Browser storage, such as local storage, works in a similar way. Joined uses a small number of them. Some keep the service working, one remembers your choices, and one group, analytics, is off unless you allow it.

Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies keep you signed in, keep sign-in secure, and remember your choices. They stay on, because Joined cannot work without them, and the product does not offer a switch to turn them off. They are not used for advertising.

Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how Joined is used, for example which searches work and where people get stuck, so we can improve it. They stay off unless you allow them. A declined choice, or no choice, leaves them off.

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for this. They work with Google’s consent signals:

Until you choose, we tell Google’s tags that analytics storage is denied, and they do not set analytics cookies.
If you choose Allow analytics in the cookie banner, we tell Google’s tags that analytics storage is granted, and Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier. Google decides their lifetime, and it is usually up to two years.
Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization stay denied whatever you choose. We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not sell the data.

Browser storage

Joined keeps a few things in your browser’s local storage on the device you use. They never leave your device unless the feature says otherwise.

Cookies from other services

Some pages you reach from Joined are run by others, and they set their own cookies. When you sign in with Google, Google’s sign-in screen uses Google’s cookies. When you pay for a subscription, the checkout page is run by our payment processor, which uses cookies to take the payment securely and to prevent fraud. An employer’s career page has its own. We do not control those cookies, and their owners’ policies apply.

Your choices

Cookie banner. The first time you visit, the banner asks whether to allow analytics. Choose Necessary only or Allow analytics. Your choice applies for 180 days, or until we change the categories, when we ask again.
Change your mind. Clear this site’s cookies in your browser. The banner appears again on your next visit, and you can choose again.
Browser settings. You can also block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser. If you block necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
Signals. Because analytics is off unless you allow it, Joined does not treat a Do Not Track signal differently.

Changes and contact

We may change this policy when our cookies change. We will update the effective date, and we will ask for your choice again if we add a category. Questions are welcome at support@joinedhq.com.
