Terms of use

The rules for using Joined: accounts, job listings, applications, employers, and acceptable use.

About these terms

These terms of use are an agreement between you and Joined. They govern your use of the Joined website and apps, of Scout and the Scoutwell website, and of everything else we offer under the Joined name (together, the “Service”). “Joined,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the team that runs the Service. “You” means the person using it, and, if you use it for a company, that company too.
Effective date: November 4, 2026.
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These terms work together with other documents. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. The cookie policy explains cookies and browser storage. The Joined Premium terms apply if you buy Premium, and the Scout independent-contractor terms apply if you take part in Scout. If one of those documents conflicts with these terms for the thing it covers, that document wins.

The short version

This summary is a convenience and is not part of the agreement. The sections below control.
  • Joined helps you find jobs and, where hiring features are available, helps companies hire. We are not an employer or a recruiter, and we cannot promise you a job or an interview.
  • Listings point to the employer’s official posting. They can be wrong, closed, or filled.
  • Be honest, be lawful, and be kind. Do not scrape the Service, impersonate anyone, post fake jobs, discriminate, or share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
  • You keep your content. You let us use it to run the Service and to send your applications where you ask.
  • Joined is provided as is, and our liability is limited.
  • You can delete your account whenever you like.

Who can use Joined

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If the law where you live sets a higher age to work, to enter into a contract, or to consent to the processing of your data, you must meet that age.
You must be able to form a binding contract with us, and you must not be barred from using the Service under the law that applies to you. If you use the Service for a company, you promise that you have the authority to bind that company to these terms.
The Service is not available to anyone we have removed from it for breaking these terms, unless we agree in writing.

Your account

You can sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. One person may have one account, and you may not share your account or let anyone else use it.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, for keeping your password and your devices secure, and for the Google Account you use to sign in. Tell us right away at support@joinedhq.com if you think someone has used your account without your permission.
If you sign in with Google, Google’s terms and privacy policy apply to your Google Account. Joined asks Google only for your name, email address, and account ID, as the privacy policy describes in detail.

What Joined provides

Joined is a job search and hiring app. It includes:
  • Job search. Search and browse open jobs, with filters such as location, remote work, pay, and visa sponsorship. You can browse without an account. Some actions, such as saving jobs or running refined searches, need an account.
  • Candidate tools. A profile, résumés, saved jobs and searches, job alerts by email, an application tracker, interview tracking, and messages with companies.
  • Hiring tools. Where they are available, tools for companies to post jobs, review applicants, schedule interviews, and message candidates.
  • Scout. A separate program in which people submit job leads under their own terms.
  • Paid features. Optional features, such as Joined Premium, that have their own terms.
We keep improving the Service, and we may add, change, limit, or remove features at any time. Some features may be in test or limited release. We try to keep the Service available, but we do not promise that it will always be available or error-free.

Job listings and third-party content

The jobs on Joined come from employers and from public job postings. For each job we show the details we have and a link to the employer’s official posting. We try to keep listings accurate and current, but we do not control them.
  • A listing can be inaccurate, out of date, closed, or already filled. Check the employer’s official posting before you rely on it.
  • A listing is not an endorsement of the employer or the job, and we do not verify every employer or posting.
  • Joined is not your employer, a recruiter, or a staffing agency. When you apply to a job, you are dealing with the employer. Any offer, contract, or employment is between you and the employer, and Joined is not a party to it.
  • The employer’s site and any application system it uses have their own terms and privacy practices.
If you are an employer or rights holder and you want a posting changed or removed, write to us. See Copyright and takedown requests.

Applying for jobs

You decide where to apply. When you submit an application through Joined, you tell us to deliver it to the company, and you agree that the company will receive the information you chose to share, such as your profile details, résumé, answers to screening questions, and note.
You promise that the information you submit is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Do not impersonate another person, claim qualifications or work authorization you do not have, or send information about someone else without their permission.
Joined does not guarantee that an employer will read your application, reply to it, interview you, or hire you. If you track an application you made elsewhere, Joined records only what you enter.

Interviews, scheduling, and offers

Where an interview is arranged through the Service, you and the company are responsible for showing up on time, for the meeting tool you use, and for what is said there. Meeting links and scheduling links are meant for the people in the conversation. Do not share a scheduling link with anyone it was not meant for, and do not record an interview unless every person on it has agreed, where the law requires that.
If a company sends you an offer or another document to sign through the Service, you are dealing with the company, not with Joined. Where the law allows, an electronic signature you give through the Service is as binding as a handwritten one. Read the document before you sign, and ask the company about anything you do not understand. Joined does not review the terms of an offer, and it is not a party to the offer or to any employment that follows.

Messages

Messages on Joined are for talking about jobs, applications, and interviews. Be honest, relevant, and respectful. Do not use messages for spam, for bulk or unrelated marketing, for pressure or threats, or to ask for payment, identity numbers, or bank details. A company may message only people who have applied to it or who have chosen to be found, and only about hiring.
We do not review messages as a matter of course. We may review messages where needed to investigate a report, keep people safe, protect the Service, or meet a legal obligation, and we may use automated tools to find spam and scams.

Your content

“Your content” means what you give us: your profile, résumés, notes, messages, reports, and anything else you submit. You own your content. You are responsible for it, and you promise that you have the right to submit it and that it does not break the law or anyone’s rights.
You give Joined a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, format, display, and transmit your content for the sole purpose of running, securing, and improving the Service, including sending your applications and messages to the people you choose. This license lasts while your content is on the Service, and for a short time afterward for backups and legal reasons. It ends as the privacy policy describes when you delete your content or your account, except for copies already delivered to others.
You can edit or delete your content at any time. Do not put sensitive information about other people in your content unless you have the right to. If you give us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Scores, rankings, and automated tools

The Service uses automated tools to rank jobs, show how well a job fits you, flag postings that look like scams, and read and summarize job postings. These tools give estimates and signals. They are not facts, and they are not guarantees.
  • A fit score is not a promise that you will be hired, and a low score is not a reason to stay away. A scam signal is not a finding that a posting is fraudulent.
  • Employers must not rely on a score alone to reject or select anyone, and must make their own decisions as the law requires.
  • You can write to us to object to ranking based on your activity.
  • Joined does not generate or edit images, and it does not use Google APIs for AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery.
If you believe an automated tool has treated you unfairly, write to us and a person will look at it.

Employer accounts

If you use the Service on behalf of a company, these terms apply to you and to the company, and this section adds to them.
  • Authority and accuracy. You must be authorized to hire for the company. Information about the company and its jobs must be accurate, current, and not misleading. Post only real, open jobs that the company intends to fill, and close or update them when they are filled or change.
  • Fair and lawful hiring. Follow all laws that apply to hiring, including equal-opportunity, anti-discrimination, pay-transparency, immigration, and privacy laws. Do not discriminate on the basis of a protected characteristic, and do not ask for information the law forbids you to ask.
  • No fees to applicants. Do not charge applicants a fee to apply, to interview, or to be considered, and do not ask them to buy anything or to send money.
  • Use of applicant information. Use applicant information only to evaluate, contact, and hire people for the roles it was submitted for. Keep it secure. Do not sell it, share it for marketing, build lists from it, or use it to train artificial-intelligence models. Delete it when the law or your own retention policy requires.
  • Candidates’ time. Honor interviews you schedule, and respond to candidates in good faith.
  • Offers. An offer or agreement you send through the Service is between you and the candidate. Joined provides tools for it and is not a party to it.
  • Fees. Where company billing is available, the fees are shown in the product before you incur them, and you agree to pay them, with any taxes. A company is responsible for the actions of everyone it adds to its team.
  • Verification and removal. We may verify a company or a job, and we may remove a company page or a posting that breaks these terms or that we believe to be misleading.

Acceptable use

Use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You may not, and you may not help anyone else to:
  • break the law or violate anyone’s rights, including privacy, publicity, and intellectual property rights;
  • post, send, or share anything false, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading, including fake jobs, fake employers, fake profiles, and fake reviews;
  • impersonate a person or company, or misstate your identity, your qualifications, or your work authorization;
  • discriminate against, harass, threaten, bully, or abuse anyone, or post hateful content;
  • upload, create, store, or share intimate or sexually explicit images of any person without that person’s consent, including images created or altered by artificial intelligence, or any sexual content involving a minor;
  • use the Service, or any Google API through it, to generate or edit images or to create AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery;
  • send spam, chain messages, unsolicited marketing, or phishing, or use the Service to solicit payment, personal data, or credentials;
  • scrape, crawl, or copy the Service or its data, or use bots or other automated means to access it, except for search engines that follow our robots.txt file or where we give you written permission;
  • collect personal information about other users for any purpose other than hiring or applying through the Service;
  • bypass, disable, or interfere with access controls, rate limits, or security features, or probe or test the Service for weaknesses without our written permission;
  • upload malware or anything that could damage or overload the Service or other people’s devices;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Service’s software, or resell, sublicense, or commercialize the Service or its data;
  • use content from the Service to train an artificial-intelligence model without our written permission;
  • create accounts by automated means, create more than one account for the same person, or use another person’s account; or
  • encourage or enable anyone to do any of these things.

Safety, reports, and enforcement

Legitimate employers do not charge you to apply or to be hired, and they do not ask you to cash a check, buy equipment, or send money. Joined will never ask you for money to apply for a job. If something looks wrong, do not pay, do not give out identity numbers or bank details, and report it.
You can report a job from its page in the Service, and you can report a job, a company, or a person by writing to support@joinedhq.com. We review reports, and we may remove content, warn people, limit features, suspend or end accounts, and tell the authorities when the law or safety requires it. Where we take action against your account or content, we will usually tell you why, and you can write to us to ask us to reconsider.
We are not required to monitor the Service, and we are not responsible for content that we have not reviewed. Our decision to remove something, or to leave it up, is not a judgment about whether it is lawful or accurate.

Fees and payments

Searching and applying for jobs on Joined is free for job seekers. Some features are paid.
Joined Premium is an optional subscription for extra job-search features. It has its own terms, which cover price, billing periods, cancellation, and refunds, and which describe the current status of checkout. Employers’ fees, where they apply, are shown in the product.
Payments are handled by a payment processor. We do not store full card numbers. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchases, unless the law says otherwise. We may change prices and paid features, and we will tell you before a change affects you.

Scout

Scout is a separate program in which people submit job leads and may earn rewards. Scout work is independent-contractor work, and it is governed by the Scout independent-contractor terms. Taking part in Scout does not make you an employee, partner, or agent of Joined. Scout rewards, payout checks, and tax forms are described there and in the Scout onboarding.

Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, data compilations, and the Joined name, logo, and other marks, belongs to Joined or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as these terms allow. We keep all other rights.
You may not use the Joined name or logo in a way that suggests we sponsor or endorse you, and you may not remove or hide any notice from the Service. Some parts of the Service use open-source software, which is covered by its own licenses.
Job postings, company names, and logos belong to the employers and others who own them. They appear on Joined to help people find jobs.

Privacy and communications

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use and share it. By using the Service you acknowledge that policy. Employers that receive your information are responsible for how they use it.
You agree to receive emails we need to send you to run the Service, such as verification, security, and account notices and receipts. You can stop job alerts by turning them off or deleting the saved search, and you can ask us to stop other optional emails. If we change how we handle personal information, we will tell you as the privacy policy describes.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings, under Delete account. Export your data first if you want a copy, because deletion cannot be undone. The privacy policy explains what we delete and what we must keep.
We may suspend or end your access, remove your content, or limit features, with or without notice, if you break these terms, if we reasonably think your use puts people or the Service at risk, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. If we end your account without a reason related to your conduct, we will give you notice where we can and a chance to export your data.
When your access ends, the license we give you ends. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive, including those about your content, our intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and disputes.

Disclaimers

The Service and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not promise that the Service will meet your needs, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that listings, scores, rankings, or other information are accurate, complete, or current. We do not promise that you will find a job, get an interview, or hire anyone. We do not give legal, career, tax, immigration, or financial advice, and nothing on the Service is advice.
Some places do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Joined and the people who work for it, its affiliates, and its licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities, or for any damages from a hiring decision, a job offer, or the conduct of an employer, a candidate, or any other third party, arising out of or related to the Service or these terms, even if we have been told they might happen.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these terms will not be more than the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or one hundred U.S. dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or, if you are a consumer, any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent the law allows, you will defend and indemnify Joined and the people who work for it, its affiliates, and its licensors against claims, damages, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that come from your content, your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or anyone’s rights. If you are an employer, this includes claims that come from your job postings, your hiring decisions, and your use of applicant information. We will tell you about a claim and let you control its defense, though we may take part with our own counsel, and you may not settle a claim in a way that binds us without our consent.

Disputes and governing law

If you have a concern, write to us first at support@joinedhq.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Most concerns can be settled this way.
These terms, and any dispute that arises out of them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Joined is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to your rights below, you and Joined agree that the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive authority over any dispute that cannot be resolved informally.
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the place where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that place where the law gives you that right. Nothing in these terms limits your right to complain to a regulator.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may update these terms as the Service and the law change. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date and tell you in the Service or by email before the change takes effect, and where the law requires it we will ask for your agreement. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and delete your account. The latest terms are always at /terms.

General terms

These terms, with the documents they refer to, are the entire agreement between you and Joined about the Service and replace earlier agreements about it. If a part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up. You may not assign these terms without our consent, and we may assign them in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or to an affiliate. There are no third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
We are not liable for a failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not use the Service if you are subject to economic sanctions, or in violation of the export-control and sanctions laws that apply to you. We may give you notices by email, in the Service, or by posting them, and you agree to receive them electronically. These terms are written in English, and if they are translated, the English version controls where the law allows.
