About the role
Netflix seeks a senior full-stack engineer to build and lead localization platforms, products, and workflows that help global audiences experience content in their own language. The role focuses on resilient automation, AI-native human-in-the-loop systems, and high-quality interfaces.
What you’ll do
Build and lead platforms, products, interfaces, services, and workflows that operationalize localization at global scale
Design and consume GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs to power rich client experiences
Build resilient, high-scale, low-latency services in production
Translate business requirements into technical designs and data models
Identify root causes of issues and implement dependable, maintainable solutions across the stack
Evangelize new ideas and exemplify technical leadership with a bias for action
What you’ll need
Deep experience building complex high-quality UIs with HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS
Expert-level proficiency in React and modern frontend architecture (component design, state management, performance optimization)
Experience designing and consuming GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs
Comfortable working across the stack, including services built in Java or similar OO languages
Proven track record building resilient, high-scale, low-latency services in production
Self-starter who communicates clearly, navigates ambiguity, and proactively uses AI tools
