PetSmart is hiring a Solution Architect for its eCommerce & Marketing Technology team to design scalable, secure architectures across digital experiences, integrations, data flows, and cloud platforms. This hybrid Phoenix-based role collaborates with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver product-led solutions.
What you’ll do
Translate business and product goals into technical options and architecture artifacts
Guide engineering teams through delivery of digital experiences and integrations
Design scalable, secure solution architectures across frontend, backend, APIs, data flows, and cloud
Collaborate with product-led Agile scrum teams through implementation
Manage stakeholder communications across technical and non-technical audiences
Support replatforming and digital modernization programs
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
8+ years in solution architecture, eCommerce integration, or related technology discipline
Experience architecting enterprise-scale eCommerce, Marketing Technology, or high-volume B2C platforms
Knowledge of microservices, REST/service-based APIs, event-driven architecture, and non-functional requirements
Experience with Composable Commerce, MACH Alliance principles, and headless approaches
Familiarity with platforms such as Commercetools, Algolia, Contentful, and Vercel plus frontend/backend/cloud technologies
