About the role
STM Consulting is hiring a Senior Java Application Developer to support DHHS application development, building and maintaining Java applications and web services while replacing legacy systems. The role requires deep expertise in Java EE, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Java web frameworks, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain Java applications and web services for public and internal staff
Support DHHS application development
Replace legacy systems
Support cloud-based delivery
Work independently and manage time effectively
Communicate clearly verbally and in writing
What you’ll need
15 years of experience with Java Core, Java EE, JPA, and JPQL
5 years of experience with JSF/PrimeFaces
10 years of experience with PostgreSQL including SQL and plpgsql
5 years of experience with AWS/cloud and Java RESTful Web Services
Knowledge of WCAG compatibility
Proficiency with Maven, GitHub, Agile, JUnit/Arquillian, JIRA, CI/CD, Selenium, and JMeter
