About the role
Principal Test Engineer supporting a U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command program at Kirtland AFB, responsible for validating, improving, and certifying software and ground-system capabilities while leading test activities and supporting operational transitions. Requires extensive test engineering experience and an active Top Secret or DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility.
What you’ll do
Validate, improve, and certify software and ground-system capabilities
Lead test activities and test teams
Support transition of capabilities into operational environments
Develop and execute test plans, procedures, automated scripts, and manual test methodologies
Ensure mission requirements are fully validated prior to deployment
Support Integrated System Tests and operational validation events
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree plus 9+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 7+ years of relevant experience
Active Top Secret or DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain TS/SCI
Minimum 4 years of dedicated software and system testing experience
Experience developing and executing test plans, procedures, automated scripts, and manual test methods
Current Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant)
Experience supporting U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command, or national security space programs
