About the role
Protolabs seeks an Applications Engineer in Raleigh, NC to evaluate manufacturing opportunities, advise customers on manufacturability and production risks, and support Sales and Operations throughout quoting and production. The role requires engineering experience, technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and ITAR eligibility.
What you’ll do
Evaluate manufacturing opportunities and advise customers on manufacturability, design, quality requirements, and production risks
Support customers and Sales throughout quoting and production
Coordinate with Operations and other partners to deliver products meeting customer requirements
Communicate technical information to various audiences
What you’ll need
BS in Engineering and 2+ years of related experience, or 5+ years directly related engineering/manufacturing experience
Direct experience in CNC machining, 3D printing, or injection molding
Ability to read technical engineering drawings and understand fundamental requirements
Strong customer relationship, interpersonal, and communication skills
Computer skills including MS Office and CRM software
ITAR eligibility: U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
