About the role
Manage complex long-term care professional liability claims from first notice to resolution, including advanced coverage analysis, litigation oversight, and settlement negotiation. Act as an internal subject-matter resource and collaborate with underwriting, reinsurance, and senior leadership.
What you’ll do
Own and manage LTC Professional Liability Claims from first notice through resolution
Perform advanced coverage analysis and prepare coverage opinions/reservation of rights
Set and adjust indemnity and expense reserves within authority
Manage litigation and oversee outside defense counsel with LTC expertise
Coordinate clinical resources and expert consultants for chart review and testimony
Collaborate with underwriting, reinsurance, and regulatory teams on claims strategy
Healthcare claims experience, ideally in Long-Term Care Professional Liability
Advanced knowledge of claims handling, coverage issues, and product line
Functional knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions
Ability to obtain and maintain Adjuster's license
