About the role
Colonial Oil Industries is looking for an entry-level IT Business Analyst to support its commodity trading and risk management platform. The role combines application support, SQL-based data analysis, and documentation/testing on implementation and upgrade projects.
What you’ll do
Support business users of the ETRM platform and related systems
Provide application support and investigate data with SQL
Document business processes and requirements
Support testing and system integrations
Contribute to implementation and upgrade projects
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in an analytical field such as physics, math, finance, economics, engineering, or computer science
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with attention to numbers, units, and formulas
Strong written and verbal communication for explaining technical findings to non-technical audiences
Solid Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, and large data sets
Exposure to SQL or relational databases and coursework or projects involving markets, derivatives, pricing, risk, or time-series data
Eligibility to work in the United States
