The City of Philadelphia is hiring a Data Integration System Engineer to deploy and maintain server stacks and automations, support data integrations, and improve data pipelines and open data services for municipal data engineering systems.
What you’ll do
Deploy and maintain server stacks and automations
Support data integrations
Improve data pipelines and open data services
Troubleshoot system health
Maintain clean and secure data environments
Communicate complex technical concepts in understandable terms
What you’ll need
Experience in DevOps or related role managing production systems/software stacks with testing and deployment practices
Bachelor's/advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in systems administration (Linux preferred, Windows too), CLI (Linux/PowerShell), Bash, and Python
Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker and an automation mindset using CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Terraform, Jenkins, Airflow
Understanding of Git/GitHub for version control and CI/CD, plus database administration (Postgres preferred) and SQL
Experience with cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools including AWS Batch, ECS, EKS, and CloudWatch
