About the role
Guidewire is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and improve core Application Platform capabilities for cloud-based property and casualty insurance software. The role involves working across the stack with modern languages, frameworks, databases, and AI-assisted development tools.
What you’ll do
Build, operate, and improve core Application Platform capabilities and configuration tools
Deliver secure, scalable services and applications across the stack
Build APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
Break down ambiguous problems and propose pragmatic solutions
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across disciplines and geographies
Iterate quickly in an AI-assisted development environment
What you’ll need
4+ years building web applications or services across the stack
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Kotlin
Experience with coding agentic environments such as Claude Code and Codex
Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases and data modeling
Experience building APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
