Serco is seeking a Test Engineer to support CMS federal eligibility programs by designing and executing manual and automated tests across UI, API, and database layers, while providing guidance to fellow testers.
What you’ll do
Analyze requirements and perform gap analysis on business requirements and system specifications
Design and execute manual and automated tests across UI, API, and database layers
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber (BDD)
Perform REST and SOAP API testing
Use SQL to create test data, query databases, and validate test results
Log, report, and track defects in Jira
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of QA testing experience, or High School diploma and 8 years of testing experience
Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), and TDD/BDD frameworks
Strong REST and SOAP API testing experience
Solid SQL skills for test data creation, database queries, and validation
Experience with AWS technologies such as S3, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, AWS Batch, and CloudWatch
Experience in Agile/SAFe environments, Jira for defect tracking, and supporting federal healthcare or eligibility programs
