About the role
Cisco is hiring a Solutions Engineer to serve as the technical advisor for enterprise accounts evaluating the Splunk platform, leading customer discovery, solution design, demonstrations, proofs of value, and technical sales efforts across Splunk Core, Security, and Observability.
What you’ll do
Lead customer discovery and solution design
Deliver demonstrations and proofs of value
Drive technical sales efforts across Splunk Core, Security, and Observability
Explain complex technical concepts in terms of business value
Conduct technical workshops and whiteboard sessions
What you’ll need
6+ years in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting
Experience with Splunk or comparable log management, SIEM, or observability platform
Knowledge of SIEM/threat detection or observability (APM, infrastructure monitoring)
Splunk certification (e.g., Core Certified Power User or Admin, or Splunk Enterprise Security or Observability certifications)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native monitoring
Scripting and integration skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) with APIs and data modeling
