About the role

What you’ll do
Engineer and maintain foundational software for the Consolidated Cumulus ecosystem
Develop scalable infrastructure for NASA's Earth Science Data and Information System
Optimize core libraries, APIs, and complex software systems
Implement and maintain CI/CD integration and automated testing
Uphold rigorous documentation standards
Perform root cause analysis for system errors and infrastructure bottlenecks
What you’ll need
4+ years of software engineering experience, including Agile development (Scrum or SAFe)
Experience with Atlassian suite and development on MacOS X with deployment to Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Advanced AWS expertise including S3, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, and cross-region architectures
Programming proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, Terraform, Python, React, and AI/ML tools
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident / Green Card holder
