About the role
Leads one or more engineering teams at Agoda building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems in Bangkok. The role combines hands-on technical work, system architecture and ownership, with coaching and developing engineers.
What you’ll do
Lead one or more engineering teams
Build and operate scalable, fault-tolerant systems

What you’ll need
Extremely proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Scala, C#)
Strong experience with complex, scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
Demonstrable system ownership with operational responsibility
Proficient in lower-level engineering (garbage collection, context switching, threading)
Experience running engineering teams with 5+ direct reports
Experience working in successful agile development teams
