What you’ll do
Build and maintain the IonQ Cloud Platform
Design scalable, robust cloud services and APIs
Implement critical components including UX, APIs, exception handling, data access, and security
Lead projects across cross-functional engineering teams
Use AI-assisted engineering tools and validate generated code for correctness and security
Ensure reliability through automated testing, troubleshooting, and observability
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
7+ years professional software engineering experience (10+ years full stack preferred)
Strong experience with large-scale cloud platforms and scalable services
Programming experience in Go, TypeScript, or Python and SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience with OAuth, OpenID, or SAML authentication and job processing pipelines
