What you’ll do
Build query capabilities and shared services for the analytics compute platform
Improve reliability and performance of production services
Support safe system migrations with product and query teams
Instrument code and verify outcomes before calling work done
Respond quickly when shipped code breaks
Flag risks early and communicate decisions clearly
What you’ll need
2–4 years of experience building and running production services
Write clear, tested code and reason about failure, retries, and correctness in data-intensive systems
Experience with query engines, columnar or analytical databases, or large-scale data processing
Experience with observability, SLOs, and oncall for a production service
Fluency with AI-assisted engineering: using AI to speed up learning, exploration, and testing while validating results
Customer curiosity and a habit of learning and improving
