About the role
Customer.io is hiring a Global Controller to lead its accounting team and own financial reporting, revenue and equity accounting, systems and automation, treasury operations, audits, and tax/international compliance. This remote role requires deep US GAAP expertise, a Big 4 foundation, and experience scaling an accounting function.
What you’ll do
Lead the accounting team and strengthen the close, books, and control environment
Own financial reporting
Own revenue and equity accounting
Manage accounting systems and automation
Oversee treasury operations
Coordinate external audits and tax/international compliance
What you’ll need
10+ years of progressive accounting experience including leading a team
Big 4 or equivalent top-tier public accounting foundation
Deep US GAAP mastery with subscription and usage-based revenue recognition (ASC 606)
Concrete automation or AI deployment in accounting with measurable results
Experience scaling an accounting function and managing external audits
CPA license and internal controls/SOX-readiness experience
