About the role
Microsoft's AI Red Team seeks a Senior Security Software Engineer to build and operate secure Azure GPU infrastructure for AI research, including distributed training and reinforcement learning environments. What you’ll do
Design, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot secure distributed AI infrastructure
Build fleet-level automation and infrastructure-as-code
Turn recurring findings into durable engineering fixes
Work independently from ambiguous requirements to develop technical designs
Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements and prioritize solutions
Drive alignment across teams on infrastructure architecture and security
What you’ll need
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years coding experience
Experience designing, deploying, and operating distributed multi-node, multi-GPU training environments
Experience deploying and operating AI infrastructure in Azure
Experience with containers, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability
Understanding of LLM inference and model deployment
