About the role
ELEVI Associates is looking for a Mid-level AI Engineer to support an intelligence community customer on mission-driven applications by delivering AI-enabled solutions and maintaining full-stack systems onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly and strong expertise in generative AI, agentic AI, and modern web/backend technologies.
What you’ll do
Deliver AI-enabled solutions for mission-driven applications
Develop, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications
Resolve production issues
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and customer needs into technical requirements
Coordinate with product, operations, and security teams in an Agile environment
Improve application security, accessibility, performance, and reliability
What you’ll need
9 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Data Science, or Software Engineering (or related field; degree substitution allowed)
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
Strong proficiency in at least one generative AI framework such as LangChain, Haystack, or LlamaIndex
Experience in prompt engineering, agentic AI solutions, and AI observability platforms
Strong proficiency with React.js, TypeScript, Node.js or Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS
Familiarity with Next.js AI SDK, FastMCP, Linux, Kubernetes, Agile development, and Department of War software development
