K12 Management Inc. is hiring a remote Data Science Specialist to support audit and compliance analytics by building repeatable testing and monitoring routines, analyzing large datasets for risk and exceptions, and producing audit-ready documentation and reporting.
What you’ll do
Support audit, compliance, SOX, privacy monitoring, and funding compliance through data analytics
Develop repeatable testing and monitoring routines
Analyze complex datasets to identify exceptions and risk
Create audit-ready documentation and reporting
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
Five or more years of experience in external audit, internal audit, SOX, risk advisory, compliance testing, or assurance function
Demonstrated understanding of internal controls, audit methodology, control testing, evidence evaluation, and audit documentation
Strong SQL and Python skills and experience querying and analyzing large or complex datasets
Experience using data analytics to support audit, compliance, risk, SOX, or control testing
Experience with data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and tools such as Snowflake, DBT, and GitHub
