About the role
Penguin Random House is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain AWS-based infrastructure and ML platforms for its Data Science team, enabling data scientists to deploy models to production and supporting secure, reliable AI/ML workloads.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain foundational AWS systems and ML platforms
Operate cloud platform for ML workloads
Enable data scientists to deploy models to production
Support secure and reliable AI and machine-learning workloads
Define and manage SLOs or SLAs for ML production systems
Manage cloud costs for ML production systems
What you’ll need
5+ years building and running production systems
Track record of designing infrastructure components or tooling adopted by other teams
Hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred)
Ability to use AI agents to build and operate systems
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with data scientists and engineers
Experience running infrastructure for ML or data-intensive workloads in production
