About the role
Xplor Technologies is seeking a Head of AI and ML to lead evaluation science, predictive modeling, and experimentation across AI systems. This remote role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership to make AI outcomes measurable, cost-effective, and trustworthy.
What you’ll do
Lead evaluation science and experimentation across AI systems
Develop predictive and decision models
Build and maintain model evaluation and production infrastructure
Grow and manage a small team of scientists or ML engineers
Set methodologies for measuring AI outcomes
Ensure AI outcomes are measurable, cost-effective, and trustworthy
What you’ll need
12+ years in data science, machine learning, or applied research with 4+ years leading teams
Experience training, evaluating, deploying, and maintaining models in production
Shipped LLM or agentic systems to production, including evaluation suites
Deep experimental design and causal inference skills
Strong statistics and production-quality Python and SQL
Experience with SaaS or marketplace data at scale and AI governance frameworks
