About the role
Akima is seeking an Applications Architect to support a Department of Defense customer by modernizing an enterprise application portfolio, defining Azure migration architecture and standards, and delivering a phased modernization roadmap. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and a strong background in enterprise architecture frameworks and Azure solutions.
What you’ll do
Rationalize and modernize an enterprise application portfolio
Develop Azure migration architecture and standards
Translate architectural analysis into a phased modernization roadmap
Coordinate with architects, project managers, and team leaders to align application development with reference architectures
Architect solutions on Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online including governance, DLP, and enterprise-scale design
Build and maintain architecture repositories/models in MEGA HOPEX
What you’ll need
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in enterprise or application architecture with portfolio rationalization and modernization planning
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure architecture and cloud migration strategies including large-scale on-premises-to-cloud migration
Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements including Zero Trust, RMF, and/or CSRMC
TOGAF or DODAF certification and Microsoft Azure certification or equivalent demonstrated experience
