About the role
Amazon Data Services is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a team building software for industrial controls and data center infrastructure. The role owns engineering standards, technical roadmaps, and delivery of software supporting data center deployment and operations.
What you’ll do
Build and lead a team developing software for industrial controls and data center infrastructure
Own engineering standards and team development
Define technical roadmaps for data center automation services
Deliver software supporting data center deployment and operations
Partner with product or program management teams
Communicate with users, technical teams, and senior leadership
What you’ll need
7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
8+ years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
3+ years of engineering team management experience
3+ years designing or architecting new and existing systems
Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, certification, and livesite operations
Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers
