About the role
ExTrac is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate cloud infrastructure and backend services in Go or Python, focusing on reliability, observability, and compliance. This remote role is open to US nationals resident in the United States.
What you’ll do
Build and operate cloud infrastructure and backend services
Develop microservices using Go or Python
Improve CI/CD delivery pipelines and deployment workflows
Support reliability, observability, and monitoring
Own features end to end in production
Maintain compliance and data isolation in multi-tenant systems
What you’ll need
4+ years of professional backend and cloud infrastructure experience
Proficiency building microservices with Go or Python
Hands-on AWS and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or CloudFormation)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production
Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and software engineering patterns
Experience with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP or CMMC
