About the role
WHOOP is seeking a Lead CAD Sculptor to create refined, production-ready 3D surface models for wearables, accessories, charging systems, and packaging. The role involves translating design intent into manufacturable models and collaborating with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams from exploration through production.
What you’ll do
Create refined, production-ready 3D surface models for wearables, accessories, charging systems, and packaging
Translate design intent into manufacturable models
Collaborate across design, engineering, and manufacturing from early exploration through production
Communicate modeling decisions, tradeoffs, and risks clearly
Use AI tools in day-to-day work to high quality standards
What you’ll need
6+ years of experience in CAD sculpting, industrial design modeling, advanced surfacing, or related 3D product development
Expert proficiency in Autodesk Alias or comparable advanced surfacing platform
Mastery of NURBS surfacing, curve quality, continuity, highlight control, and production-aware model construction
Strong proficiency in parametric CAD, preferably SolidWorks
Experience developing consumer products
Portfolio demonstrating exceptional 3D modeling craft and production-intent contributions
