About the role
Reynolds Consumer Products is seeking an Automation Engineering Specialist in Louisville, KY, to support and improve automated manufacturing systems, troubleshoot control and robotic equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
What you’ll do
Support and improve automated manufacturing systems
Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and control systems
Diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process issues
Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, contractors, and union-represented employees
Enhance productivity and reduce downtime
Ensure safe plant operations and follow industrial safety practices
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related discipline or equivalent experience
2-4 years of experience supporting industrial automation equipment, PLCs, HMIs, and control systems
Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Fanuc
Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
Experience with Wonderware, DCS, ABB, Lean Manufacturing practices, and project management
