About the role
Skytron seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and support secure HL7 and API-based healthcare integrations, focusing on data workflows, troubleshooting, and deployment.
What you’ll do
Design, implement, and support secure interfaces connecting healthcare applications
Collaborate with clinical IT teams, vendors, and internal engineering teams
Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-to-system integration issues
Maintain thorough documentation and attention to detail
Support integration testing and deployment
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience
7–10 years of experience in software engineering or healthcare system integration
Experience with HL7 messaging standards (v2.x) including ADT, ORM, ORU, and SIU
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
Experience with REST APIs, XML, JSON, and message-based architectures
Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and HIPAA security compliance requirements
