About the role
Northwood is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own and operate cloud infrastructure for its phased array ground-station network, building and maintaining IaC while ensuring reliability and security. The role requires deep AWS/Kubernetes expertise, on-call production support, and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
What you’ll do
Own and operate cloud infrastructure supporting the ground-station network
Build and maintain infrastructure as code
Handle cloud networking and on-call operations
Partner with platform, security, and operations teams
Keep systems reliable and secure
What you’ll need
2-7 years of production infrastructure experience (SRE, DevOps, platform, cloud, or systems engineering)
Depth in cloud: multi-account organizations, IAM, VPC networking, EKS or equivalent managed Kubernetes
Strong IaC experience: state management, CI-driven plan and apply, shared monorepo
Working competence across Linux, networking, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tooling
On-call experience in a production environment
U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible for required authorizations
