About the role
FutureX seeks a Hardware Integration & Test Engineer II to test, troubleshoot, provision firmware for, and integrate hardware security modules and cryptographic appliances through final functional validation. The role requires hands-on electronics testing experience and familiarity with embedded systems, Linux, and common hardware interfaces.
What you’ll do
Test hardware security modules and cryptographic appliances
Troubleshoot electronic systems and PCBs
Provision firmware for devices
Integrate hardware through final functional validation
Read electrical schematics and diagnose issues independently
Document technical findings and communicate clearly
What you’ll need
Associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics technology, computer engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent professional/military electronics experience
3+ years of hands-on electronics testing, PCB troubleshooting, hardware integration, or related experience
Practical knowledge of electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, soldering/rework, and electronic test equipment
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot independently
Familiarity with firmware loading, device configuration, Linux, command-line diagnostics, bootloaders, and firmware provisioning
Understanding of SPI, I2C, UART, USB, PCIe, or Ethernet interfaces
