About the role
NWN seeks an Indirect Tax Audit Manager to lead its multi-jurisdiction indirect tax audit function, set strategy, and advise on tax risk, compliance, and controls. The role requires deep sales and use tax expertise and experience in technology, cloud, telecommunications, or managed services industries.
What you’ll do
Lead indirect tax audit strategy and resolution across multiple jurisdictions
Oversee tax exemption certificates, licenses, and registrations
Advise cross-functional teams on tax risk, compliance, and controls
Govern product taxability determinations, tax code maintenance, and tax configurations
Evaluate tax notices, assessments, refund claims, and settlement options
Establish audit governance, documentation standards, and executive-level reporting
What you’ll need
5-7 years of progressive indirect tax experience
Experience in technology, cloud, telecommunications, or managed services industry
Advanced knowledge of sales and use tax laws and audit procedures
Experience with sales tax engines in NetSuite and CCH SureTax
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA, CMI, or other relevant tax certification
