About the role
SENS seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to translate customer, regulatory, and internal needs into system requirements, architectures, and compliant designs for industrial power conversion products. The role coordinates cross-functional activities across electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and certification to support products throughout their lifecycle.
What you’ll do
Translate customer, regulatory, and internal needs into system requirements and architectures
Develop verification plans and compliant product designs
Support products throughout the lifecycle
Coordinate electrical, mechanical, firmware/software, manufacturing, documentation, sales, and certification activities
Interpret standards into practical design, documentation, and test requirements
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or closely related technical field
5+ years of relevant engineering experience in systems engineering, product engineering, regulatory compliance, or certification for hardware-based products
Demonstrated experience delivering hardware-based products to market
Strong understanding of AC/DC power circuits, circuit protection, system wiring, power supplies, batteries, and industrial power products
Working knowledge of safety, EMC, performance, and environmental standards, plus the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
Experience with product certification programs such as UL, seismic, ABS, CE marking, and related standards
