About the role
The Applications Specialist provides on-site IT support for Par Hawaii Refining's operations and engineering teams, maintaining and troubleshooting refinery applications and integrations, coordinating upgrades and recovery, and supporting system administration and documentation. The role also participates in on-call rotations for critical incidents and turnarounds.

What you’ll need
Legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without visa transfer or sponsorship; eligible to obtain TWIC card
High School Diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor's degree in IT, CS, business, or related field or equivalent combination
Minimum 2 years of IT support, systems analysis, or application support experience
Hands-on troubleshooting with Microsoft Windows and standard desktop/server hardware; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Experience supporting specialized applications in refining, chemical manufacturing, industrial engineering, or HSSE environments; familiarity with industrial platforms such as OSIsoft PI/PI Vision, cBliss, AutoCAD, CADWorx, CAESAR II, HYSYS/UniSim, Prometheus, or Sphera
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; willingness to participate in on-call rotations and after-hours/weekend support; general understanding of downstream oil and gas refining or multimodal logistics operations
