About the role
Luxoft is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team behind a digital health marketplace platform. The role owns technical direction, delivery, and the team while contributing production code and driving FHIR- and HIPAA-aware integration work.
What you’ll do
Own the platform's technical direction, delivery, and team
Contribute production code across the stack
Represent engineering to partners, product, and clinical advisors
Lead external data integration through batch file feeds and APIs
Manage leads including outsourced, vendor, or nearshore teams
Drive team adoption of AI coding tools
What you’ll need
8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years managing engineering teams
Experience managing other managers or team leads, including outsourced, vendor, or nearshore teams
Hands-on full-stack skills with Python (FastAPI) on the backend and TypeScript and React on the frontend
Experience shipping partner-facing APIs or embedded products and integrating external partners via batch file feeds and APIs
Strong API design across REST (OpenAPI) and GraphQL, including contracts, versioning, idempotency, OAuth 2.0, tenant isolation, and rate limiting
Experience with PII/PHI under HIPAA, strong FHIR knowledge, and daily use of AI coding tools like Claude Code
