About the role
Intellectt Inc. seeks a contract Hardware Test Engineer in Warren, MI, to validate automotive hardware prototypes through lab testing, debugging, and documentation. The role focuses on power protection, thermal behavior, and collaboration with hardware design and automotive engineering teams.
What you’ll do
Perform hardware prototype testing for PMICs, smart fuses, load switches, and related components
Verify OCP, UVP, OVP, current limiting, inrush current, and short-circuit protection
Evaluate thermal limits, fault responses, power sequencing, timing, and load profiles
Use power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and electronic loads in laboratory testing
Support debugging and troubleshooting with tools such as Lauterbach
Document test procedures, results, and technical findings and collaborate with engineering teams
What you’ll need
Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
6+ years of experience in automotive hardware engineering
5+ years of experience in hardware design and testing
Hands-on experience testing hardware prototypes and automotive electronic components
Experience with laboratory instruments and flashing/debugging tools such as Lauterbach
Knowledge of automotive Ethernet and related validation tools such as Vector or Intrepid
