About the role
Atlassian is looking for a Principal Product Designer to define the strategic design direction for its Rovo & AI team, delivering end-to-end AI and search experiences across Atlassian products. This role drives org-wide design programs, integrates multiple teams' work, and influences roadmaps through compelling design leadership.
What you’ll do
Set strategic design direction for AI and search experiences
Lead end-to-end design projects from concept to delivery
Partner across teams to deliver cohesive, valuable AI experiences
Integrate work of multiple teams and synthesize feedback
Facilitate design discussions that influence company-wide outcomes and roadmaps
Improve design process and methodology to increase velocity and adoption
What you’ll need
10+ years of product design experience on complex or enterprise-level software
Experience creating and delivering strategic org-wide design programs
End-to-end UX/product design experience for impactful solutions
Strong storytelling and narrative skills for design direction
Ability to balance customer needs with business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility
Experience with design systems, qualitative/quantitative measurement, and process improvement
