About the role
3LC.AI seeks an Applied AI Engineer to help customers build and improve computer vision models and ML workflows, using those engagements to strengthen the company's platform and APIs. The onsite Boulder role centers on practical ML experimentation, data-centric AI, and customer-facing technical problem-solving.
What you’ll do
Develop and improve computer vision models with customers
Build ML workflows and integrations
Prepare datasets, train models, and evaluate results
Investigate model failures and improve data quality
Use customer work to improve 3LC's platform and APIs
Resolve technical problems with customers
What you’ll need
Strong ML knowledge, Python skills, and hands-on computer vision experience with PyTorch
Experience preparing datasets, training models, evaluating results, and investigating failures
Experience with real-world industrial computer vision or challenging data applications
Familiarity with YOLO, Detectron2, SAM3, and model optimization tools
Cloud ML infrastructure experience with a strong focus on Azure
Customer-facing engineering, technical onboarding, or proof-of-concept delivery experience
