About the role
Senior Accountant role for a growing fencing contractor, responsible for month-end close, multi-state payroll and sales/use tax compliance, and improving accounting processes. Remote full-time with a competitive base salary and bonus.
What you’ll do
Assist with month-end close and prepare supporting journal entries
Prepare and maintain balance-sheet reconciliations and audit-ready workpapers
Research and resolve historical GL discrepancies and account issues
Manage multi-state payroll tax setup, filings, and compliance
Support multi-state sales/use tax nexus review and filings
Identify accounting-control weaknesses and implement better processes
Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
Ability to independently research unfamiliar accounting and tax issues
Experience with payroll tax, sales/use tax, or multi-state compliance
Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
Construction accounting experience is highly desirable
