About the role
CollectivIQ is hiring a foundational Lead Engineer to build and scale its enterprise AI platform, combining hands-on engineering with leadership of a small team. This remote role focuses on production AI delivery, orchestration, security, and reliability.
What you’ll do
Lead and grow a small engineering team building the enterprise AI platform
Own architecture and hands-on engineering across the AI platform
Deliver production AI applications with focus on orchestration, security, and reliability
Collaborate with distributed, international teams
Make architecture and prioritization decisions in an evolving technical environment
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
2+ years managing engineers or providing formal technical leadership with delivery and team development responsibility
Hands-on experience building and operating production applications using LLMs or generative AI
Strong backend engineering skills in Python with production APIs, services, asynchronous workflows, and data pipelines
Knowledge of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, data architecture, CI/CD, Docker, and observability
Experience with AI evaluation, enterprise SaaS security, and integrating with enterprise systems
