About the role
HJF seeks a senior software developer to design and build cloud-native applications, rapid prototypes, and MVPs for the Digital Technology Innovation Center at the Uniformed Services University, integrating AI/ML capabilities and advising stakeholders on emerging technologies.
What you’ll do
Design, build, and evaluate cloud-native applications

Serve as lead technical resource on a small multidisciplinary team
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering/Information Systems or equivalent technical training/experience
Minimum 6-8 years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java
Full-stack development experience across front-end, APIs, and data, including cloud environments
Experience integrating LLM or generative AI APIs (e.g., RAG, tool-calling workflows)
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain T3/Secret Security Clearance
