About the role
Upstart is hiring a Product Quality Manager to lead quality testing and strengthen oversight for unsecured lending products, partnering with Engineering on automated monitoring and cross-functional remediation of control gaps and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll do
Lead quality testing for unsecured lending products
Strengthen the oversight program for unsecured lending
Define risk-based testing strategies and standardized criteria
Partner with Engineering on automated monitoring
Work cross-functionally to address control gaps and regulatory requirements
Communicate control assessments to stakeholders
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5+ years in compliance testing, quality control/assurance, internal audit, or regulatory examination in consumer lending
Experience designing and leading end-to-end quality or compliance testing for consumer lending products, systems, or transactions
Experience developing risk-based sampling methods and documented conclusions under TILA/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, FCRA, EFTA/Reg E, FDCPA/Reg F, or UDAAP
Experience with unsecured installment loans or lines of credit, automated lending platforms, or AI-assisted quality monitoring
CRCM or similar compliance certification
