Join MongoDB's Database Integration & Observability team to design and build ecosystem integrations, change data capture and streaming, and database observability systems, primarily in modern C++. This senior role spans end-to-end project leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
What you’ll do
Design, implement, and optimize integrations connecting the MongoDB query engine with ecosystem products
Write clean, maintainable, high-performance C++ code and participate in code reviews and design discussions
Lead projects end-to-end from initial design to implementation and support
Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering peers to define technical roadmaps
Enhance and scale Change Streams for real-time event tracking and data synchronization
5+ years of experience in software development and/or performance engineering
Experience with large backend/compiled codebases such as Rust or C/C++
Solid computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and software design architecture
Strong interest in database internals, query engines, and distributed systems architecture
Experience with observability tooling such as time series metrics and dashboards
Strong systems programming fundamentals
