About the role
Motional is hiring a Senior Robotics Engineer to diagnose and evaluate autonomous vehicle behaviors across simulation and on-road environments. What you’ll do
Investigate and diagnose autonomous vehicle behaviors across on-road, resimulation, and synthetic simulation environments
Own root-cause analysis using system logs
Build diagnostic workflows and performance visualizations
Synthesize findings to support engineering resolutions and release decisions
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
5+ years of professional software/systems engineering experience on safety-critical complex systems
Understanding of robotics systems including sensors, actuators, and autonomy stacks
Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting
Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows
Excellent communication and analytical skills for complex system evaluation
