About the role
Horizon3.ai is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build customer-facing product experiences for understanding and acting on risk, with a focus on backend services, APIs, and end-to-end delivery. The role involves collaboration across product, design, and engineering teams, plus some modern frontend development.
What you’ll do
Build product experiences that help customers understand, prioritize, and act on risk
Design and operate backend services and APIs
Drive end-to-end product work including modern frontend development
Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams
Independently drive substantial work from requirements gathering through delivery
Coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
What you’ll need
6+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience building distributed backend services with a modern language such as Python, Go, Rust, Java, or TypeScript
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker/containerized applications
Experience designing and operating APIs, services, and asynchronous or event-driven systems
Experience with SQL relational databases in production, including PostgreSQL performance tuning
Experience with modern frontend development in frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar
