About the role
JPMorgan Chase seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to build and deliver software-defined networking and automation solutions, leading agile development efforts and driving network infrastructure innovation.
What you’ll do
Enhance, build, and deliver market-leading technology products for software-defined networking and automation
Lead development projects in an agile environment with cross-functional teams
Design and implement network automation pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
Perform root cause analysis and optimize network infrastructure and automation software
Coach engineers on AI-assisted development and responsible AI usage patterns
Collaborate with network operations, security, and application platform teams
What you’ll need
5+ years applied experience in software engineering and network infrastructure development
Strong experience with Python, Go, JavaScript, Rust, and Shell Scripting for network automation
Deep understanding of networking protocols including BGP, VRF, MPLS, IP, TCP, and UDP
Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T, Kubernetes, cloud networking, and infrastructure-as-code tools
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and container orchestration
Knowledge of policy-as-code, zero-trust architecture, and AI-assisted development tools
