About the role
Branch is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build data models, tables, and self-service tools using SQL and dbt on BigQuery for Accounting, Actuarial, and Claims teams. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, end-to-end ownership, and a fast-paced remote-first environment.
What you’ll do
Build views, tables, data models, data dictionaries, and self-service tools in SQL and dbt
Monitor data quality, prevent defects, and fix issues promptly
Work tickets from Accounting, Actuarial, and Claims stakeholders through production
Understand project scope and data flows; advocate for best practices
Review AI-generated code and help improve AI tools
Collaborate with leaders to implement and document processes
What you’ll need
3+ years of relevant data/reporting development experience including data modeling and data quality monitoring
Strong, hands-on SQL
Experience with dbt
Experience with Python
Experience building with AI coding tools, ideally Claude Code
Comfortable owning work end to end in a fast-paced environment
