About the role
Alpaca is seeking an experienced IT Operations Specialist to support a distributed team, owning IT support, endpoint and SaaS security, device and access lifecycle operations, and automation. The role requires strong technical depth across operating systems, MDM, identity workflows, and cloud/IaC in a Zero Trust environment.
What you’ll do
Own end-to-end IT support for a distributed team
Ensure endpoint and SaaS security
Manage device and access lifecycle operations
Build and improve automations
Drive continuous improvement of IT systems
Harden access and endpoints without constraining the business
What you’ll need
6+ years in IT operations or systems engineering
Strong macOS, Windows, and Linux skills including device lifecycle
Hands-on with at least two MDM solutions such as Jamf, Kandji, or Intune
Experience with Google Workspace, 1Password, enterprise SaaS admin, EDR, and SSO/identity workflows
Automation/scripting fluency in at least two programming/scripting languages
Cloud and IaC experience with GCP/AWS and Terraform; understanding of Zero Trust environments
