About the role
Stand8 is hiring a Mid-level Platform Engineer for a contract-to-hire role to build and operate an internal developer platform, focusing on self-service workflows, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, observability, security, reliability, and cost management.
What you’ll do
Design, develop, and operate an internal developer platform
Build self-service workflows and infrastructure automation
Maintain CI/CD pipelines with identity-based authentication
Apply security, secrets management, and access control practices
Track cloud spend and apply FinOps cost-management practices
Expose metrics via APIs or dashboards and incorporate user feedback
What you’ll need
Strong Python skills and experience automating workflows against APIs
Hands-on AWS or Azure experience and containerized infrastructure
Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and identity-based deployment authentication
Experience automating provisioning with Terraform or similar tools
Treats security, secrets management, and access control as core
Experience with self-hosted CI/CD, observability/log management, and FinOps practices
