About the role
NVIDIA seeks a Manager of Software Engineering to lead a team building and operating the platform that researchers use to train frontier AI models. The role owns the AI infrastructure platform end to end, including roadmap, architecture, reliability, and collaboration with research and partner teams.
What you’ll do
Lead and manage an engineering team building a platform for training frontier AI models
Own the platform's roadmap, architecture, and reliability end to end
Collaborate with research and partner teams on infrastructure needs
Drive reliability for critical services including on-call and incident response
Hire and grow senior engineers while keeping quality high under pressure
Use AI coding and operations tools to raise team productivity
What you’ll need
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
12+ years in software engineering with 5+ years managing engineering teams
Proven track record building and running large-scale distributed systems in production
Hands-on depth in workload scheduling, distributed storage, or Kubernetes-based platforms
Experience with GPU clusters for AI training at scale
Experience leading teams across time zones and contributing to open-source infrastructure
